So far the whale count is 11,000 North Pacific Humpback Whales migrating to the state of Hawaii. The preliminary studies and research so far shows that whales to be slightly larger then the previous years (measuring back width and length via drones). Thats a good sign that these whales ate well over the summer months while back at the feeding grounds off the coast of Alaska. Exciting news that this threatened populations seems to be recovering through lots of coordinated efforts across the globe. Fishing nets, boat strikes, and micro plastics still threaten these beautiful creatures so please keep educating others about the importance of our oceans health!!!
